Husna is 14 years old and whilst she lives with her parents and her seven siblings in unfinished provisional house with no electricity, during the week she stays at her uncle’s small house which is close to her school. The pandemic affected her mother’s small business, so the family now must survive solely on the little income that her father earns from casual, day work on construction sites. The income barely covers the basic family needs. Despite all these difficulties, Husna shows impressive determination and has been a consistent A- grade student over the past couple of years and has always been at the top of her class. During her very scarce spare time, she likes to play netball. Her favorite subjects are Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English. In the future, Husna wants to become a doctor. A sponsorship for Husna would be a greater cornerstone for achieving her dreams.
