Welcome new volunteers!
11.10.2011
Dear help2kids friends and supporters, the blog of this week is focused to introduce you our newest volunteers. In fact, help2kids team in Tanzania is growing and getting bigger. The kids are excited to have new volunteers to play with and I’m sure that, thanks to the efforts of the volunteers, their English will improve too. For us that we are living here in Mbezi, is wonderful to have new people coming from all around the world and we are really grateful to all the volunteers, current or past, to have decided to dedicate some time of their lives to come here and help us! Asante sana!
But before introducing the new volunteers, we have to say goodbye to Tara. After 6 weeks with us, Tara now is back home in America. The kids miss her a lot. She was really helpful here and left a big contribution. We hope to see you soon here again Tara!
10 days ago Emma arrived in Tanzania directly from the iced and cold Sweden! Emma is 20 and just graduated. In the past days she has spent great time with the kids, doing a lot of different activities such as necklaces with the girls and Lego constructions with the boys.
Let me now introduce you Jenna, 24, from USA. Jenna already had few experiences as volunteer in Bolivia and in Tanzania: in fact she was based in Arusha where she was teaching English in an orphanage and in a school. Jenna will stay with us for a couple of months and she is enthusiastic about the kids.
Marc (19) is our new volunteer from Switzerland, Zurich. Being the brother of Christian, our super vice-president, was a good motivation and cause of curiosity for Marc to come in Tanzania and discover this new world!
Finally we have Romain (19) from Switzerland too. Just graduated and willing to explore Africa for the first time in his life. The kids are super happy to have some boys to play football with!
We all wish our new volunteers a nice stay in Tanzania and we hope they will get the most out of this experience!
Karibuni sana.
Francesca,
Director Tanzania
